TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sendy Salihin, Wayan Mirna Salihin’s twin sister, said that Jessica Kumala Wongso’s entire statements in the media are false. “Jessica lied,” Sendy Salihin said, after being interogated by the police at Jakarta Metro Police Office, Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Simiral statement were also made by Mirna’s husband, Arif Soemarko, moments before, also after being introgated by the police. “I’m convinced that all the thing she said in the media are lies, all lies. That’s all,” Arif Soemarko said, Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Arif expressed his conviction having learned the facts given by Jakarta Metro Police’s investigators.
On the other hand, Arif declined to comment on his relationship with Jessica Wongso. “I have no comment, there’s no relationship,” he said while leaving reporters.
Sendy also declined to commment when asked about Jessica and Arif’s relationship. “That’s all, we could not comment on it,” she said.
Sendy declined to respond to reporters’ questions on Arif, Mirna’s husand, and Jessica who are rumoured to have met once in Australia.
When asked if Jessica have onced lived together with Sendy and Mirna in Australia, she confirmed that all of Jessica’s statements are lies. “We’ll see in the court. Everything she said are lies,” Sendy said.
A day before, Wayan Mirna Salihin’s father, Edhi Darmawan Salihin, confirmed that the rumours which has been circulating around, one of them regarding Jessica who professed to have already knew Arif Sunarko, Mirna’s husband, are not accurate. “It is not true. They attended different colleges in different cities in Australia,” he said, Monday, February 1, 2016.
According to Edhi, he has never met nor knew Jessica nor her family before Mirna’s death. However, Edhi admitted that he knows Hani, Mirna’s other friend who were also at the crime scene. “I know Hani. He came to our house once. We have no problem with Hani,” he said.
